The Importance of an Annual Physical
Your annual physical isn’t just a formality–it’s an important part of guiding and preserving your overall health. But often, we hear from people who go years without any routine check-up. Your exam is an opportunity to partner with your provider for a healthier future. This can mean preventive care, screenings, lifestyle discussions and more–as well as providing benchmarks to see any changes in your health over time. Let’s explore some common questions about your yearly physical.
In this edition of Ask the Doctor, Dr. Vanessa Womack of Northside Family Practice answers common questions regarding the importance of your annual physical.
Who conducts my annual physical?
Why should I have a physical every year?
What kind of screenings are routinely performed?
Do physicals keep me up to date with vaccines?
