PRESS RELEASE

CANTON, GA (Feb. 16, 2024)The Children’s Haven recently held their 3rd Annual Adult Prom fundraising event at the Timbers on Etowah at The Mill on Etowah in Canton. This year’s theme was a throwback to the 70s decade and the guests were dressed in far out costumes, from hippie to glam prom wear.

The Adult Prom has become an annual event, raising much-needed funds to support the programs of The Children’s Haven, a local Cherokee County nonprofit, offering support and prevention programs for children in foster care and families facing challenges in our community.

The evening was full of dancing, a silent auction, live auction, Wine Pull, and the crowning of the Prom King & Queen. Chris & Amber Harden were awarded the title of this year’s Prom King and Queen, helping to raise funds and awareness for the needs and the work of The Children’s Haven in our community. Chad & Rachel Davis and Gregg & Heather Shelton were also on the prom court, supporting this local nonprofit. Close to 200 guests attended the 3rd Annual Adult Prom and was the most successful event to date. Be on the look out for the Save the Date for the 4th Annual Adult Prom.

Funds from this year’s event will support the programs of The Children’s Haven: Court Appointed Advocates Program (CASA), Wellstar Family Visitation Center, Prevent Child Abuse Cherokee, and Chin Up mentorship program.
