CANTON, GA (May 24, 2024) – The Cherokee County Aquatic Center is set to open the Oasis outdoor pool on Memorial Day weekend, along with hosting a special after-hours event.

The Cherokee County Aquatic Center, located at 1200 Wellstar Way, Canton, will open the Oasis outdoor pool on Saturday, May 25. Doors will open at 10:00 a.m., and the facility will remain open until 7:00 p.m. Operating hours on Sunday, May 26, will be 12:00 to 6:30 p.m. and on Monday, May 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Daily admission rates for county residents are $6 for ages 2 to 13 and ages 55 and older, $7 for ages 14 to 54; admission for children under age 2 is free. Daily admission rates for non-residents are $7 for ages 2 to 13 and ages 55 and older, $9 for ages 14 to 54; admission for children under age 2 is free.

“Visitors can expect a fun-filled day with concessions available” said Cherokee County Aquatic Center Manager Tom McGerty. “Due to high demand, the facility is expected to reach maximum capacity early, so early arrival is recommended.”

In addition to the opening day festivities, the Aquatic Center will host a special After-Hours Party for Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 26, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. This family-friendly event costs $10 per person and is open to all ages.
